Great news for Forsyth County real estate buyers who have either not yet locked in a loan, or who have just begun their home search! According to HSH.com’s Weekly Mortgage Rates Radar report, conforming fixed rate mortgages remained unchanged at an average rate of 3.52% this week.
It is believed that the mixed economic reports coming in – the slow GDP growth juxtaposed with a very solid July employment report – have left the market rates unchanged.
In an accelerating economy the probability of the Federal Reserve raising short-term interest rates would be much higher, but the fluctuations we are currently seeing seems to guarantee at least a few more weeks of consistent mortgage rates.
During a period when homebuyer activity traditionally declines in the Forsyth County real estate market, this is excellent news for Forsyth County home sellers as well as it helps to keep buyers involved in the market.
